Hunter | 2 months

Height & Weight: 22.5 inches and 10 pounds 12 ounces

Eating: We are on a pretty good schedule.  Every 4 hours during the day.  He wakes up once at night or if I am able to stay up until 11 to do a late night feeding, he often sleeps til 5 am!

Sleeping (naps):  If he is "on schedule" he sleeps for an hour or so an hour after every feeding.  If we are home this works well, but if we are "out and about" it doesn't work that way ;).

Sleeping (at night):  He sleeps in anywhere from 4-5 hour stretches.  For the past 2 weeks, we have slept for 6 hours in a row.  Talk about feeling rested :)!

Clothing:  0-3 month and 3 month clothing sizes.  Diapers are a size 1 but not for long!

New this month: He has a social smile that he breaks out OFTEN.  Sometimes even before spitting up!  He makes more noises than before and with different intonations which is fun to hear!
Also new for the past few days- he has "found" his hands and sorta knaws on the outside of his thumb.

Nicknames: I call him "the baby" all the time.  Ha!

Hunter likes:  I started reading stories to him at least once at bedtime, and sometimes once during the day which he seems to enjoy.  After he "talks back" to me!  At least I think he is :).

Hunter dislikes: Being tired.

How's mama feeling:  I started getting back into doing yoga so feeling well!

The first month

Height & Weight: 20 inches and more than his birth weight that's for sure!

Eating: Every 2-3 hours during the day, every 4 hours at night

Sleeping (naps): Hunter usually takes a good nap in the AM and PM. I am working on getting on a schedule with this but it's tough!

Sleeping (at night): Usually 4 hours of sleep then up every 3.  I probably average about 6 hours a night sometimes including waking up for an hour to feed sometimes not :) Mostly "good" nights of sleep but occasionally we wake up at 4 am and don't sleep much after that!

Clothing:  Hunter still fits in his newborn clothes but we have been "breaking out" the 0-3 month and 3 month clothes also as it has been pretty chilly some days and I have a lot of footed one piece suits in those sizes.

New this month: Well, this is his first month, so fun things are this past week (and week 5 as I write this) he has been much more awake and noticing his surroundings.  He sleeps a little less during the day.  He has a newfound love for ceiling fans.

Nicknames: Little buddy, little dude, little man.  Creative I know.  My dad called him fussbucket last night.

Hunter likes: Being outside, listening to the birds, staring at ceiling fan, the vibrating newborn lounger chair (that ran out of battery power today! oh no!), bathttime

Hunter dislikes: Any shirt/outfit that goes over his head.  dirty diapers (and iI'm talking ANY tiny bit of mess), being hangry.

4 days compared to 6 weeks!

How's mama feeling: Wonderful.  I get naps on days I am tired when my mom or Forrest hold Hunter.  I am so grateful to be Hunter's mama and I consider each day a blessing.
