Dear Hunter,
Just a few days ago you turned "14 months" or as I like to say it "a little over one". Perhaps I am just not ready to say you're still growing or maybe I'm avoiding the annoyance of making people calculate just how old is that toddler!
In the past 3 days, you have show me you can clap and blow kisses. You have been signing the word "more" when you wanted more food, but recently you sign it when you want more of anything, whether its a book, or playing "head butt" with daddy on the floor. You have been waving "hi" and "bye" for a few weeks, and usually the word (or something like it) goes along with the hand motion.
I was a little sad today because I had to work an extra day, which isn't always easy. Grandma H. watched you all day while I worked and ran to the grocery store so I could make lots of food for us and daddy this week.
You run and scream like crazy when I first see you after being gone all day - and that makes any work worth the reward.
Your favorite food is still broccoli. Yes, the green vegetable not many people like!!! You can eat an entire adult portion in one sitting. Lots ends up on the floor, in your hair, and in your shirt, but a lot gets eaten.
You are still the biggest mama's boy I know, but you run for daddy every time he wakes up after working til late night or early morning hours.
We had a really fun weekend for July 4th visiting Aunt Katie, Uncle Phil, LuLu, and PawPaw and we just planned a trip today to go see them again next month to the Olgers reunion.
Finally,
once in a while, you sleep almost 12 hours in a row. But half of the time you still wake up at least once or at 4 am for some extra snuggles. I really don't mind that much because someday I know you won't need me for midnight, 1 am, or 4 am extra hugs.
Last week, for the first time in 2 weeks, you didn't cry and grip my shirt so tight I have to pry you off to drop you off at the toddler room in the day care. You are slowly starting to like playing with bigger, older kids, and I can already tell you are learning so much from them.
I'm going to try to write you a few more letters this year, as I want to continue to remember these times and tell you all about what you were like as a toddler. :)
